Access for culturally diverse communities
The Multicultural Access and Equity Project (MAP) Project assists people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds living on the Central Coast to access Home and Community Care (HACC) services.
Services Provided:
The Multicultural Access and Equity Project (MAP) acts as a resource by assisting services and people from CALD backgrounds by:
- Providing advice, information and assistance to the HACC services (as appropriate) to strengthen and /or develop their policies and/or activities in order to achieve higher quality outcomes for CALD HACC service users
- Developing resources for HACC services
- Providing opportunities for learning through acting as a link making contact and keeping in touch with different cultural groups on the Central Coast
- Networking and supporting services involved in assisting people from CALD backgrounds
- Providing community education for local CALD groups and communities about HACC and similar services
- Food services including Meals on Wheels
- Domestic Assistance
- Personal Care
- Community Transport
- Respite Care
- Day Centres
- Community Nursing
- Community Options
- Home Modifications and Maintenance
- Allied Health
- Social Support
